Hager Announces New On-Board Delayed Egress Door Hardware
Hager Companies, a leading U.S. manufacturer of commercial and residential door hardware products, announces the release of its new On-Board Delayed Egress. The fire & life safety code compliant device provides a secure locking system that temporarily prevents doors from being opened from the egress side to address potential life safety or security concerns. This new expansion product can be easily integrated with Hager Companies’ 4501 and 4601 exit devices, making operation and installation simple, efficient and effective.
The On-Board Delayed Egress is ideal for retail stores, healthcare and assisted-living facilities, childcare, sports arenas and other locations where a special locking delayed exit is required to prevent theft or protect those trying to exit. This new product features:
- 15 (or optional 30) second egress delay
- 1 to 2 second nuisance delay
- Built-in function key switch for alarm/lock reset or sustained bypass
- Field selectable automatic or manual power up after emergency release or power loss
- For use on single or paired door openings
Our new On-Board Delayed Egress is a continuation of our successful delayed egress platform,” said Product Manager for Hager Companies Gordon Holmes. “Integrating the wall mount controller to the exit device keeps installation and operation challenges at a minimum for the end users.”
